"To Wake's" narrative follows a remarkable 5 year old little girl named Janisha, who has dedicated her magical life to sustaining and saving the forests that surround her. She has seen and experienced things that have disturbed but yet empowered her, witnessing beautiful providing trees burn for no sustaining reason, only ones of greed and ignorance. The documentary takes place in Kullu, the valley of the gods situated in India's Green Himalayas. This location is one of the most vulnerable areas on the planet to climate change, deforestation, erratic water supply and pollution. The fate of this very land affects each and every one of us.
